I love coming to Andy’s Pet Shop, and seeing the different kinds of accessories I can get for my bunnies (other than the typical options found at large chain stores like Petco). I was especially delighted to find that they offer large bags of fresh oat hay (that’s hard to find locally) and other bunny favorites like the bunny maze and cardboard tunnel (Tunnel Haven). There’s such a big variety of items offered for all kinds of pets.

They also have live animals in-store, some available for adoption, including fish, snakes, turtles, birds, mice, guinea pigs, chameleons, and a 35-yr-old parrot. I used to see bunnies here, but I appreciate that this establishment still has a good number of rescued animals, even during COVID. And they seem to be happy and well taken care of… the guinea pigs were especially playful, running around in their habitat.

The employees are friendly, and provided helpful information when we asked about bunny nail trims (it’s hard to find places that offer this, and not people who just do cat/dog maintenance but are more educated about rabbits).

Also, there is both street parking and a medium-sized parking lot attached to the store… a huge plus in dowtown SJ.

So much to love about Andy’s! Hope they’re around for years to come 🙂
